Specs checked against Steam:
7 GB or 20 GB?
The Steam store page and PlaySide's support centre both list 7 GB of storage for minimum and recommended, and the official site's file-size answer says 7 GB on PC, PS5 and Xbox. The specifications block on the same official page says 20 GB, though. Updates will grow the install, so leaving 20 GB free is the safe choice.
Steam Deck and Linux
Steam Deck Verified. Valve's compatibility report passes all four checks: default controller layout, on-screen glyphs that match the Deck, legible text, and performance on default settings.
PlaySide's support centre also says the game is Steam Deck verified. The same support centre says it is not playable on Linux, and Steam only lists a Windows build, so the Deck rating comes from Valve's own testing on SteamOS. Your Steam PC and Steam Deck share progress through cloud saves.
Consoles
On PS5 and Xbox Series X|S the download is also listed at 7 GB. A PS5 Pro gameplay video by Skycaptin5 describes 4K at 60 fps with some frame drops and screen tearing. There is no Nintendo Switch version (see platforms).
Settings worth knowing
- Graphics tab: V-Sync, field of view, UI options, and separate brightness and contrast for the level and the UI.
- Gameplay tab: camera and UI shake, head bobbing, and Streamer Mode, which shows every player as Player 1, Player 2 and so on.
- Controls tab: remapping for mouse, keyboard and controller, sensitivity and aim assist.
- Ultrawide: supported, per PlaySide's support centre.
If the camera makes you queasy, PlaySide suggests raising the field of view and turning off head bobbing and camera shake. The full settings rundown is in the controls and settings guide.
Fixing lag or stuttering
PlaySide's own steps: verify the game files in Steam, update your GPU and CPU drivers, lower the graphics settings, or turn off V-Sync. Online problems (lobbies that will not load, voice chat) are a separate issue, covered in connection fixes.
