What PlaySide has promised

PlaySide’s official FAQ says the game will receive multiple content updates after release, bringing new Jobs, tools, cosmetics and certifications. A developer repeated this on the Steam forum when a player worried that three levels was not much. No dates or roadmap have been published.

Rumours to ignore for now

• Eight-player lobbies: a forum reply from an account without the developer tag claimed a future update would allow eight players. The developer’s later answer: four is the current maximum, and any change will be announced officially.
• Procedural generation: a developer said there is none.
• Split-screen: not supported; PlaySide says requests are being passed on, nothing more.
• Mods: no official modding support “at this stage”, per the support centre.
• Switch or GOG versions: not planned for now, per the support centre.

Where patch notes are posted

PlaySide says patch notes go on its website blog and out through the Dumb Ways to Die social channels and Discord. The launch hotfix was posted as a Steam announcement. We check both and update this page, the jobs page and the tools page within two days of a patch.

How to get an update

• Steam: updates install automatically; verify the game files if something looks off.
• PS5: highlight the game, press Options, choose Check for Update.
• Xbox: My Games & Apps > See all > Manage > Updates.

Staying current matters: PlaySide says players on an older version cannot play multiplayer with others.
